Beach Clean-Up at Agios Kosmas, in Greece

By July 3, 2024News
On June 30, the dedicated volunteers from WWF Greece organized a beach clean-up at Agios Kosmas in Athens. The event, held in the evening from 18:45 to 20:15, saw the enthusiastic participation of 25 volunteers. Together, they managed to collect 10 kg of plastic litter and 23 kg of other waste, which was responsibly disposed of.

This clean-up effort is part of the larger #20TonnesChallenge under the REMEDIES program, showcasing a collective commitment to reducing plastic waste and protecting our precious marine environments.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers for their hard work and dedication to making a positive impact on our beaches. Stay tuned for more updates on our journey towards sustainability and environmental stewardship.

The Impact Hub Athens, REMEDIES partner, is proud to have facilitated this event in view of its collaboration with the Adopt a Beach program of WWF Greece, for the #20TonnesChallenge.
