On June 13, 2024, Ichthioskala Beach on Chios Island, Greece, saw a heartwarming clean-up effort led by little volunteers from the 11th Kindergarten of Chios. Organized by Kaloupi Georgia, the event began at 8:30 AM and ended by 9:15 AM, with 24 enthusiastic children participating.
The young volunteers cleaned a 100-meter stretch of beach, collecting 2.7 kilograms of plastic litter and 1.2 kilograms of other waste. This initiative showcased the importance of instilling environmental values in children from a young age and the power of community action in preserving our natural surroundings.
