This clean-up and monitoring activity was performed in the framework of the first EU Blue School project entirely developed within UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. During the session held within the Circeo MaB Reserve, 65 students from a local high school were engaged, we collected around 40 kg of wastes mainly plastics. The students adopted two different coastal monitoring protocols (MAC-e and a simplified version of the JRC protocol). The results they obtained on field were the following:
