Ftelia Beach Clean-up, in Greece

By July 26, 2024News

On July 5, 2024, a dedicated team organized a beach clean-up at Ftelia Beach – East Side in Mykonos, Greece. From 14:30 to 16:00, volunteers covered a 130-meter stretch of the beach, with an average width of 20 meters. Despite the short duration, the 4 participants managed to collect 2 kg of plastic litter and 7.3 kg of other waste, making a significant impact on the local environment.

This cleanup was proudly supported by REMEDIES partner Impact Hub Athens, as part of the #20TonnesChallenge with WWF Greece’s Adopt a Beach program.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers for their hard work and dedication to making a positive impact on our beaches. Stay tuned for more updates on our journey towards sustainability and environmental stewardship.
