A powerful start for collaboration towards a cleaner, bluer Mediterranean at ECOMONDO 2025
The first day of the BlueMissionMed Mediterranean Lighthouse Bootcamp at ECOMONDO – ITALIAN EXHIBITION GROUP 2025 in Rimini opened with a packed audience and an atmosphere full of energy and optimism. The event marked the beginning of a week dedicated to advancing the EU Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters”, showcasing how Mediterranean partners are driving the blue transition through research, innovation, and collaboration.
From 4 to 7 November 2025, the Bootcamp brings together leading projects, researchers, and innovators at the Blue Economy Pavilion (Stand 212) for a series of high-level panels, thematic sessions, roundtables, and networking opportunities. The programme highlights the Mediterranean Lighthouse as a strategic driver in restoring ecosystems, reducing marine pollution, and promoting sustainable blue economy solutions.
On Day 1, REMEDIES proudly joined fellow Mission Ocean projects NETTAG+ and iMERMAID EU, demonstrating innovative technologies for marine restoration and circular innovation. Representing REMEDIES were the National Institute of Chemistry (Kemijski inštitut), F6S, River Cleaning, and Infordata Sistemi Srl, presenting the project’s latest tools to tackle marine litter, enhance data monitoring, and support circular value chains in the Mediterranean.
Their contributions showcased how cross-sector collaboration can accelerate tangible change. From smart cleanup solutions and AI-driven detection tools to community-led circular approaches that empower coastal regions to act.
The Bootcamp continues throughout the week with a full agenda of discussions, project showcases, and interactive sessions aimed at strengthening the network of actors driving the blue transition across the Mediterranean Lighthouse.
