The field activity was performed on the beach of Nettuno (RM- Italy) in collaboration with the second edition of the EU Blue School project “GREEN & BLUE LITERACY @ SCHOOL”.
The beach clean up engaged 32 students from the third year of the scientific high school IIS M. Ramadù and some local volunteers from Plasticfree ODV. The session engaged the participants in a monitoring activity simulation according to the Plastic Pirates Campaign protocol and subsequently they contributed to the REMEDIES program clean up removing around 15 kg of beach litter at the end of the session. Some students acted also as local reporters interviewing the other classmates and participants including their teachers. The activity received also the patronage of the Environment Department of Nettuno Municipality.
