ETMI team conducted the second riverine litter monitoring on March 15 th , in the Lana River, Tirana. The purpose of this activity was to monitor the number and categorize the type of litter floating in the Lana River. The monitoring process lasted 30 minutes according to the river litter protocol. Predominant river litter was composed of wet wipes of different sizes, followed by cigarette butts. Data collected was uploaded on the Floating Litter Monitoring App in order for future comparison between the present state and the future technological intervention in the river basin. This activity will be performed twice a month over a period of 3 months to analyze the progress.
