By April 5, 2024April 10th, 2024News

We are thrilled to announce the 24 successful applicants who will be participating in the PLASTIC FANTASTIC Hackathon! After reviewing numerous applications from passionate individuals eager to tackle the issue of ocean plastic pollution, we have selected a diverse group of innovators ready to make a difference. We received applications from 18 different countries, working in Europe, Africa, North America, and Asia, and 30% of the applicants were women.

The PLASTIC FANTASTIC Hackathon, organized by the EU Mission Ocean program REMEDIES for Ocean, is an international online event aimed at fostering creative solutions to combat plastic pollution in our ocean and waters. With the support of our partners and sponsors, we are excited to see what these talented individuals will bring to the table.

Among the successful applicants are engineers, scientists, designers, and environmental enthusiasts, each bringing their unique perspectives and skills to the hackathon. We are confident that their collaboration will lead to innovative ideas and solutions that can make a real impact.
