The REMEDIES Artistic Residencies connect science, environmental innovation, and local communities through art. They support awareness-raising, civic engagement, and behavioural change by inviting artists and researchers connected to REMEDIES demo sites to create site-specific artistic interventions aligned with the project’s mission.

Their methodology is based on translating scientific knowledge, marine litter data, and circular innovation into accessible public experiences, using formats such as fashion, visual art, street art, design, and participatory creation.

The goal is to make the challenge of plastic pollution visible, emotional, and relatable, while inspiring citizens to rethink consumption, phase out single-use plastics, and embrace zero-waste practices.
