We are thrilled to announce that Island Guardians, a project funded under the REMEDIES Open Call 1, has received a Special Mention from the Society4Med Award, organized by BlueMissionMed.
Recognized for its holistic approach to tackling marine plastic pollution, the project combines impactful beach cleanups with innovative educational programs, including toolkits, storybooks, and a stunning art exhibition. This acknowledgment highlights the project’s ability to inspire communities and foster sustainable practices. The Society4Med Award, in collaboration with CNR, FVA, La Saison Bleue, and WWF, honors initiatives that significantly contribute to the EU Mission: Restore Our Ocean and Waters.
Congratulations to Esplora and the Island Guardians team for their outstanding commitment to a plastic-free Mediterranean!
