
On 29 May 2026, REMEDIES partner Venice Lagoon Plastic Free (VLPF) will host the 6th International Workshop on Marine Litter Monitoring, Removal and Blue Circular Economy, taking place at the iconic Arsenale, Torre di Porta Nuova, as part of the International Boat Show. The event will be delivered in a hybrid format, welcoming participants both onsite and online.
This flagship initiative brings together projects and stakeholders from across major EU funding programmes, reinforcing collaboration and shared action for healthier marine ecosystems.

The workshop is structured as a dynamic, multi-layered event combining innovation, policy dialogue, stakeholder engagement, and live demonstration:
- Presentation of Marine Litter Monitoring, Removal and Blue Circular Economy Innovations
Showcasing cutting-edge solutions and practices addressing marine litter across Europe. - EU Policy Roundtable
Advancing European policy frameworks and strategic approaches to combat marine litter. - Local Participatory Stakeholder Workshop
Co-designing practical and locally grounded marine litter solutions for Venice through stakeholder engagement. - Live Showcase of the SeaCat Cleanup Vessel
A real-time demonstration in the Arsenal basin of the SeaCat vessel, developed under the SeaClear 2.0 project, highlighting innovative technologies for marine litter detection and removal.
