Within two weeks, a very active team in Mykonos, member of the Adopt a Beach program of WWF Greece, managed to collect in total more than 155 kilos of plastic litter and 48 kilos of non plastic litter, on the islands of Mykonos and Rinia, with a team of 5 and 6 volunteers respectively. The team promised to repeat the clean ups, since the weather and the winds will fill the beach with more litter again, in a few weeks time.
