RegisterThe REMEDIES 9th Cluster Meeting brings together European Commission, regional initiatives, and key sister EU Mission projects, that act across the Blue Economy to address the shared challenge of protecting the Oceans and inland water ecosystems, from marine litter to contaminants (macro-plastics, emerging contaminants, and nitrates).
The event will create strong links with the key sister EU Mission projects—specifically EFFECTIVE, SALINA, TASC-RestoreMed, Restore4life, SUNDANSE, ADT4Blue, and DALIA.
By showcasing innovative, state-of-the-art solutions already being implemented on the ground by these diverse initiatives, these real-world case studies will demonstrate how cross-sectoral and interdisciplinary collaboration can translate research into tangible environmental benefits.
Rather than focusing solely on isolated technical milestones, this session intends to put in the spotlight the relevance of Stakeholder Engagement, in a bottom up approach. We will reflect and present the real-world assessed and achieved impacts, share lessons learned from the field, exchange good practices, namely on cascade funding (Open Calls), and openly discuss the challenges of engaging communities, local authorities, and policymakers for a healthier Sea, Oceans and inland waters.
Finally, the discussions will situate Mediterranean efforts within the global policy landscape. By connecting regional action with international processes, the 9th Remedies Cluster Meeting will reinforce its core objective: building synergies that empower collective action for a healthier ocean, seas and waters, both in the Mediterranean and beyond.
